Video surveillance and control of POS terminals and transactions

To protect a retail facility from loss, dependable control must be provided over its entire territory. Cash transactions are controlled using a specialized module that synchronizes text and video data.

POS control module

The point of sale (POS) control module is an effective tool for reducing losses at cash terminals, assessing cashier work performance and monitoring transactions. The module synchronizes the video image from a camera directed at a POS terminal with the textual and event data coming from that POS terminal.

As a result, the operator’s screen will display a video image of a customer transaction at a terminal along with text data from that transaction in the form of titles, during real-time surveillance and when viewing a video archive. This data includes information from the sales receipt as well as events at the POS terminal that are not reflected in the receipt, such as opening the cash drawer or manually entering a product code. This type of approach enables you to obtain a full picture of the events occurring at a POS terminal and to accomplish the following main tasks:
