Access Control and Fire Alarm Module

Simple and intuitive, Axxon Intellect Enterprise’s access control module is a key component of our platform. This interface provides you with comprehensive site information – door and pass status, number of inhabitants, possible emergency situations, etc – conveniently located on one screen.

Access control and fire alarm modules make it possible to connect access control and fire alarm systems from various manufacturers to the Axxon Intellect Enterprise security management platform and exchange data between these systems and Axxon Intellect. This makes it possible to receive information about the status of access control and fire alarm devices and control them using standard Axxon Intellect Enterprise tools, which allows one to accomplish a wide variety of tasks related to access control and operation of fire and security alarms.

Access Control and Fire Alarm module functions

• Creation and maintenance of employee databases.
• Determining access zones and access levels for each employee (access, no access, access at a certain time, no access on weekends, access only for a certain group of employees, etc.). Administration of access rights at the level of user groups.
• As an additional security measure, it is possible to set up separate administration of the employee database and their access rights. In such an arrangement the employee database is created and access rights are granted by different people, which decreases the likelihood of an intruder conspiring with an employee responsible for maintaining the system.
• Analyzing employee behavior:
1. tracking employee movement using an event protocol which reveals when and how long an employee was in a certain place;
2. supplying data for a time and attendance module.
• Comparing images from a camera with photographs in a database using a photo identification module. Images are verified by a system operator in the security service, who then makes a decision on whether to grant access.
• Organizing the work of the enterprise's access control department using the Access Mode Service module.
• Receiving information about the status of various access control and fire alarm devices, controlling them and monitoring events in one environment.
• Controlling devices on the level of groups.
• Full automation of the mechanism of access rights administration, including creation of new access cards, making changes in the rights of cardholders, and voiding cards.
• System self-diagnostics and notification about equipment malfunction.

The Access Mode Service

This additional software component of Axxon Intellect Enterprise offers a functionally expanded interface for work at points of access and access control departments. The module provides all the necessary functions:

• creating records of divisions and employees in the Axxon Intellect Enterprise database;
• assigning access zones, access levels (up to 6 levels) and access schedules to employees and divisions;
• creating permanent and temporary passes;
• convenient context searching by all types of data in the Axxon Intellect Enterprise database;
• determining access rights for vehicles, employees and visitors separately.

Enhanced functionality can be achieved with additional modules:

The Photo Identification module
When the access control subsystem reads a user’s access card, the module displays the cardholder’s photograph and data from the database on the monitor. After comparing the photograph with the image of the person from the camera, the operator decides whether or not to grant access. The module allows the user to sel ect the data to be displayed (for example, name, date and time, card number, division, position, etc.) and set the relative placement of these fields and photographs on the screen using a convenient visual editor. The operator can view a list of all cardholders who have passed and receive data on whether they were granted access.

The Time and Attendance module

The time and attendance module allows you to monitor the efficiency of your human resources by automatically detecting employee arrivals and departures and clocking their time spent in various locations; obtain reports on time worked by employees; and print reports or save them in doc, xls, txt, bmp, jpeg, tiff and gif formats.

Fire Alarm Module

The addition of a fire alarm module to the Axxon Intellect Enterprise platform enables you incorporate information fr om existing security panels, detectors and sensors and program appropriate system reactions. This module controls executive devices, and can combine various fire alarm devices into groups. It also displays the layout of guarded territory so you can see, at a glance, the location of all fire alarm devices.
