AxxonSoft has been recognized as the global market leader for open platform network video management software. In a recently published report, IMS Research named AxxonSoft as the biggest player in the EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) market and third worldwide in the category of open platform network video management software vendors.
The IMS Research report, "World & EMEA Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment – 2008", was published in November 2008. It estimated the 2007 global CCTV/VSE market to be worth $7.7 billion, and forecasted it exceed $14 billion in 2012. It predicted a 13.4% average annual growth for this period for the overall market, while only 5.9% average annual growth is predicted for the traditional CCTV equipment category. The difference in growth rates is caused by the ‘IP revolution’ – the worldwide transition to networked video surveillance, which is AxxonSoft’s core business.
For the IP Video Surveillance Management Software (both Open Platform and Proprietary) sector, reported 2007 sales are $236.2 million, predicted to rise to over $1 billion in 2012. Additionally, another trend has become clear: open platform software solutions are now strongly preferred to proprietary systems that lock users into a limited list of hardware vendors – or even specific models. According to the IMS Research report, "more advanced users will typically opt for software-only solutions for the greater flexibility and easier integration with other systems like access control, point-of-sale, ATMs, and more.”
AxxonSoft is the first Russian company to concentrate its efforts exclusively on open platform IP video management software, freeing its customers from the limitations of proprietary solutions. Since the Fall of 2005, AxxonSoft has actively expanded into international markets.
The IMS Research report estimated the EMEA open platform video management systems market to be worth $74.8 million in 2007. AxxonSoft booked sales of $14.3 million for the EMEA market in that period, accounting for a market share of 19.2%. Global figures in 2007 for the same market sector are $194.6 million, $15.4 million and 7.9% share, respectively.
In 2006, AxxonSoft sales ranked third in EMEA and eighth in the world. The recent IMS Research report now lists AxxonSoft at first and third respectively.
”Three years ago, we set an ambitious goal – to establish the AxxonSoft brand in the top tier of the worldwide market for CCTV systems,” said Vladislav Martynov, Chairman of AxxonSoft board. “We are very glad to see our progress recognized by IMS Research, a respected analyst in the global electronics industry. We also see the results of our work in the increasing number of partners and clients choosing our products and establishing long-term business relationships.”
Martynov added, “International recognition is very important for us—Western clients prefer solid and trustworthy vendors providing solutions competitive with top world products. This is no less important for our domestic clients and partners as well, who put a high value on Russian products that compare favorably in the global market.”
Commenting on the extremely fast growth of AxxonSoft’s business, Martynov cited two key points of AxxonSoft strategy: choosing the right markets for expansion and providing first-class service and after-sales technical support, which is particularly critical in Europe.
