A round-table "Transport Security - a component part of Transport Policy of the RF" discussion was held on August 3, 2004, as ordered by Igor Levitin, the Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation. Murat Altuev, the President of the Axxon (former ITV) company, took part in the meeting that was held in convention hall of the Department's board.
The meeting implied discussion of the issues of financial support and establishing of integrated R&D structures. Close upon two hundred people attended the discussion - manufacturers, suppliers, integrators and end-users of the transportation industry. The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Sergei Aristov, the Deputy Minister of Transportation of the RF.
The issue of modernization of the Russian transportation industry within the next 5 years is a matter of strategic importance for the Axxon (former ITV) company and its Partners. The issue was discussed in the course of report made by Oleg Lomanov, the General Director of RosTransModernizatsiya Federal State Unitary Enterprise. All railway stations, bridges and tunnels of our country are to be equipped with modern security systems. The Axxon (former ITV) company develops and offers integrated solutions aimed at these global projects of strategic importance. Partners of the Axxon (former ITV) company have dealt with such large-scale tasks more than once - for instance, streets and squares of the capital are being equipped with a common network of security cameras. Equipment produced by Axxon (former ITV) bore the test of time and efficiently functions as a part of distributed systems in compliance with the world's performance quality standards.
Other important issues are the matters of budgetary funds' allotment, search for alternative financial sources and development of legislative basis to equip the transport industry with the required technical means of security.
Axxon (former ITV) plans to take part in development of the Concept of the Russian Transport Security.
