Results of Axxon (former ITV) and Panasonic collaboration at the International Anti-Terror Forum

The Global Forum for Partnerships between States and Businesses to Counter Terrorism took place in Moscow from 28 th to 30 th of November, 2006, in the framework of Russia 's G8 chairmanship initiative. At a specialized exhibition under the name of Security Technologies/Anti-terror commissioned by Russian Ministry of Home Affairs, both Axxon (former ITV) and Panasonic security companies demonstrated results of their collaboration in the field of technology.

G8 Ministers of Foreign affairs, Anti-terrorist and Special services heads took part in this forum along with national business communities' representatives. Among high ranking guests of the exhibition there were present: Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nikolay Patrushev, Head of FSB, Head of National Anti-terrorism committee; Rashied Nurgaliyev, Minister of Home Affairs; Yury Luzhkov, Mayor of Moscow City, and other official personalities.

One of the important sections at the Security Technologies/Anti-terror specialized exhibition was surveillance and photographic means. At the common booth of Axxon (former ITV) and Panasonic, Axxon (former ITV)'s Axxon Professional digital video surveillance and FaceAxxon Enterprise facial recognition systems had been demonstrated in operation along with the following equipment from Panasonic: BB-HCM331 and BB-HCM381 PTZ IP cameras with duplex audio as well as WV-NP1000 dual output (analog + IP) megapixel IP camera. The booth invoked great interest among visitors and press representatives. RTVi reporter conducted an interview with one of Axxon (former ITV) specialists. Other channels such as TVC, Russia Today (NTV+ branch) and RBK-TV paid their attention to the booth, as well.

The Forum approved Strategy for Partnerships between States and Businesses to Counter Terrorism where critical infrastructure preservation and protection has been focused onto as well as the fact that "businesses can contribute significantly to emergency response".
