11/14/2006

Axxon (former ITV), the leading developer of software and hardware platforms for a network of digital video recording and transmission products featured its latest software technology which raised high interest from exhibitors and attendees at the International Security Conference & Exposition ISC East held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on October 24-25, 2006.

ISC East has established itself as the premier security event on the East Coast with over 450 manufacturers displaying the latest innovations and solutions to the highest concentration of dealers and integrators in any one area of the U.S., with an estimated 9,000 security professionals in attendance. ISC East 2006 brings together leading players in the security industry to provide a comprehensive review of today's latest trends, technology and the key issues facing security professionals today, from system integration to the convergence of software and networking applications.

Axxon (former ITV)'s security technologies were exhibited at booth 1363 of its US partner Isonics Homeland Security and Defense Corporation based in Columbia, where the following products were displayed:

  • The Intellect integrated security system;
  • POS-Intellect point-of-sale transactions video control;
  • AUTO-Intellect license plates capture and recognition;
  • Face-Intellect facial recognition system.

The open architecture system allows coordinating multiple disparate alerts, motion detections, alarms, biometrics, sensors and access points, and has the ability to provide complex event-driven policy management that can be easily adjusted. Such responses automate the first tier of responses enhancing security with intelligent functionality. Based on information received from detectors, platform can close gouges, open doors for evacuation purpose, shut down energy, water, electricity, stop elevators, and send any notification via Internet, modem, WiFi, SMS, PDA devices, or E-mail with picture or digital video. The platform collects information and signals from different input/output devices, register signals, including emergency notification, control different devices and access control, communicate with different databases, and display information on map of intelligent building or multiple locations in real time.

The Face-Intellect facial capture and recognition technology incorporating FaceIntellect at 2006 ISC & Exposition East 2006an innovative real-time face detection and capturing algorithm has invoked great interest among the booth visitors - mostly security professionals, system engineers, law enforcement officers and facility managers. Most visitors agreed that being a perfect example of a quite opposite approach against proprietary systems of closed architecture Face-Intellect offers a flexible open system. Providing open system architecture is no less important than establishing scalability or physical/logical convergence since having closed proprietary system can stop further development at a certain moment. Face-Intellect has no such limits following the newest trends in security industry.
